About the technique: The cotton threads are first bound to outline the motif, then dipped layer by layer into natural dyes, and only afterwards woven into fabric. This is how the floating, softly blurred pattern emerges — the unmistakable and refined signature of true Ikat. “Oh yes, that’s Ikat,” says our model Ooai — instantly enchanted.
