Peixe, Girassol, Conchas, Pássaro. Fish, sunflower, shells, bird. Four motifs, hand-painted by Maribel in her small studio in the Minho, northern Portugal. The motifs follow the visual language of the azulejo tradition for which Portugal is known – this time with a nod to the nature and Atlantic coastline of the Minho.
Maribel has lined the back of each tile with cork – itself a raw material harvested from the ancient oak trees of northern Portugal. Use them as coasters, trivets or small wall pieces. Together or one by one.
