Handspun Ikat Cotton Pants

These pants combine traditional Mudmee design with a modern, clean silhouette. The blue-and-white pattern is a true Thai classic — often seen, but rarely in this dense, handwoven quality. Most versions are printed and mass-produced; these are handwoven, heavier and richer in texture.

The cut is simple and flattering: a 7/8 length, a soft elastic waist and a shape that moves beautifully. Light, versatile and effortlessly stylish — for warm days, long flights or paired with a crisp white shirt.

About the technique: The cotton threads are first bound to outline the motif, then dipped layer by layer into natural dyes, and only afterwards woven into fabric. This creates the floating, softly blurred pattern — the elegant, unmistakable signature of true Ikat.

Every weaver brings her own touch: small variations, different knotting styles, gentle shifts in color. This makes each pair of shorts a unique piece — a statement for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship, culture, and thoughtful design.
