Our Round Earrings are small statements of material and craftsmanship.

Each pair is handcrafted from Ambani Fish Leather by women working in Northern Kenya. What once was considered waste has become something refined — transformed into durable, beautifully textured leather with a distinctive natural scale pattern.

Fish leather? Yes — it may sound unusual at first. But it is one of the oldest and most resilient types of leather in the world. Odourless, lightweight and remarkably strong, it carries a structure that cannot be replicated.

The story behind the material reaches back to Lake Turkana — the largest desert lake in the world — where communities adapted to changing environmental conditions and developed new skills around fishing and leather craftsmanship. Today, Ira and James Ambani employ around twenty people across two workshops, most of them women.
